The Stalking Mantis | UE5

The Stalking Mantis is an original creature character presented through a cinematic boss encounter inspired by Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Black Myth: Wukong.

This project focuses on cinematic character presentation through animation, lighting, camera work, and environmental staging, aiming to create tension and atmosphere within a game-ready scene.

The full pipeline was developed by myself, including sculpting, retopology, texturing, rigging, animation, scene assembly, lighting, and final rendering in Unreal Engine. Particular attention was given to silhouette, pacing, and camera proximity to create an unsettling and immersive boss introduction experience.
